Barcelona Crosses Historic €1 Billion Revenue Mark for the First Time

Barcelona has crossed a financial threshold that once seemed out of reach: the Catalan giant finished the 2025/26 financial year with more than €1 billion in revenue.

The club achieved the record despite an unusually difficult stadium situation. During the first part of the season, renovations forced Barcelona to play some matches at the Johan Cruyff Stadium and the Olympic Stadium. After returning to Camp Nou, the club could use only about 42,000 seats, far below the more than 60,000 available seats assumed in the original budget.

Even with those restrictions, Barcelona nearly reached its planned revenue target. Stadium-related income grew significantly, a result the club sees as an indication of what the renovated Camp Nou could generate once it operates at full capacity.

The stadium was not the only source of growth. Sponsorship revenue continued to rise, while Barcelona Licensing and Merchandising, the club company responsible for official products, recorded a record turnover. For a club that has faced heavy debt and restrictions on registering players in recent years, the billion-euro mark stands as a symbol of financial recovery.

Barcelona also highlighted a positive result from ordinary operations for the third consecutive season. Members will examine the 2025/26 accounts and approve the next season’s budget at the general assembly on Sept. 19. They will also discuss financing for the Espai Barça project, including a proposal to increase funding and issue bonds backed by additional audiovisual rights. The club has reached the milestone before its biggest potential revenue engine, the renovated Camp Nou, returns to full capacity.
