Barcelona Officially Signs Karim Adeyemi Until 2031

FC Barcelona has officially confirmed the signing of German winger Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund, securing his services until June 30, 2031. The 24-year-old attacker arrived in Barcelona eight days prior to undergo medical examinations and finalize his new contract with the La Liga club. He is scheduled to be presented at the Spotify Camp Nou commercial office on Thursday. Adeyemi, known for his speed and versatility across both wings, and occasionally as a center forward, comes with the endorsement of Barcelona's current coach, Hansi Flick. Flick previously gave Adeyemi his debut for the German senior national team at the age of 19. The transfer fee is reported to be €22 million, with an additional €9 million in performance-related variables. Adeyemi, whose father is Nigerian and mother is Romanian, spent the last four seasons at Borussia Dortmund. He joins Barcelona rested, having not been selected for the World Cup by Julian Nagelsmann. Adeyemi is expected to be the natural replacement for Lamine Yamal on the right wing, occupying the squad position vacated by the young Swedish winger Roony Bardghij, who is set to leave on loan.
