Barcelona Thrash Rayo 5-2 as Raphinha and Yamal Shine

Barcelona turned a brief setback into another emphatic victory, beating Rayo Vallecano 5-2 at Camp Nou to preserve their perfect start to the new La Liga season.

Rayo struck first while Barcelona controlled possession. Jules Kounde’s error gave Alvaro Garcia room on the left, and Garcia’s low delivery to the near post found Sergio Camello, who finished to put the visitors ahead.

Barcelona responded about 10 minutes later. Raphinha moved past Pathe Ciss before firing a finish that Rayo’s goalkeeper could not stop. Lamine Yamal then put the hosts in front, receiving the ball inside the penalty area and driving a powerful shot into the top corner. It was the young forward’s first goal of the season.

Raphinha and Yamal each scored twice in the five-goal performance. Anthony Gordon also troubled Rayo’s defense repeatedly with his pace and movement. Kounde appeared to add another goal from the rebound of a Gordon shot, but VAR ruled it out for offside.
