Battlefield sees 237 clashes as Ukraine repels 43 Russian assaults on Pokrovsk front

Ukrainian forces repelled 43 Russian assaults on the Pokrovsk front as 237 combat clashes took place across the battlefield over the previous day, according to Ukraine’s General Staff.

The Russian military was most active near Bilytske, Serhiivka, Udachne and Molodetske, as well as toward a series of settlements including Toretsk, Sofiivka, Vilne, Dorozhnie, Novyi Donbas, Matiasheve, Shevchenko, Chernihivka, Dobropillia, Myrne, Vasylivka, Novoserhiivka and Novopavlivka.

Ukrainian forces also repelled 10 Russian attacks on the South Slobozhanshchyna front. Seven attacks were recorded near Kupiansk and seven near Lyman. Russian forces conducted five assaults near Sloviansk, one toward Fedorivka on the Kramatorsk front, and 12 near Kostiantynivka.

The General Staff reported one Russian attack in each of the North Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk operational zone, the Oleksandrivka front and the Kramatorsk front. Russian forces also conducted seven attacks on the Huliaipole front. No assaults were reported over the past day on the Orikhiv or Prydniprovske fronts.

The report said there was no evidence of Russian offensive groups forming in the Volyn and Polissia areas. The figures were published by the General Staff in information dated 8 a.m. on Sept. 7.
