BAZNAS Klaten prepares aid to renovate 125 homes and build 110 toilets

BAZNAS Klaten is preparing to distribute assistance for the rehabilitation of 125 unfit homes and the construction of healthy toilets for 110 low-income families in Central Java.

The organization held a program briefing at the Klaten regency government hall on Thursday, attended by subdistrict heads and village government representatives from areas targeted for the aid. BAZNAS Klaten chairman Muchlis Hudaf said the session aimed to ensure the assistance would be useful and reach the intended beneficiaries.

This briefing was held so that the assistance could be distributed appropriately and reach the right beneficiaries. This program is a concrete expression of shared concern between BAZNAS and the regency government in improving the quality of life of the people of Klaten Regency.

The program sets aside 1.875 billion rupiah for home rehabilitation, equal to 15 million rupiah per unit. A further 385 million rupiah has been allocated for healthy toilets, valued at 3.5 million rupiah each.

Joko Suprapto, representing Klaten Regent in his role at the local housing and settlement agency, said the briefing should give all parties a shared understanding of how the program would be carried out. Muchlis described the initiative as a concrete expression of cooperation between BAZNAS and the Klaten administration to improve residents’ quality of life.
