Cooking Across Eight Cities, Pertamina Patra Niaga Shares 8,100 Meals on Customer Day

Pertamina Patra Niaga turned National Customer Day into a mass cooking and food-sharing event, preparing 8,100 portions of Ayam Kecap Rempah Nusantara across eight Indonesian cities.

Customers, small businesses and community groups cooked the dishes together using Bright Gas before distributing them free of charge through fuel stations, orphanages and social institutions. The main event took place at Plaza Timur Gelora Bung Karno in Jakarta, while cooking activities also ran in Medan, Palembang, Semarang, Surabaya, Balikpapan, Makassar and Jayapura.

Jakarta prepared 2,850 portions. Seven other cities each prepared 750 portions. The Cilacap Refinery added another 150 portions, and the distribution was supervised to ensure the food reached recipients in good condition. In Jakarta, five fuel stations served different areas: Fatmawati in South Jakarta, Hang Lekir in Central Jakarta, Kalimalang in East Jakarta, Joglo in West Jakarta and Kelapa Gading in North Jakarta.

Online motorcycle taxi drivers were among those receiving meals at the Hang Lekir station. Marja said the food arrived at lunchtime and was helpful to drivers on the road. Suci, a participant from Bogor, attended with her child and said the event allowed people to contribute their labor during difficult economic conditions. The simultaneous cooking event also formed part of the 2026 Bright Gas Cooking Competition, which promotes culinary creativity and Indonesia's regional food traditions.
