Beer recalled in Denmark over glass fragment fears

A recall has been announced for Moersleutel Motor Oil beer following the discovery of glass fragments within the product. The Danish Food Agency (Fødevarestyrelsen) issued the warning, highlighting the potential health hazard posed by the glass shards.

According to the agency, the glass pieces could cause injuries to the mouth, throat, and digestive system. Consumers who have purchased the affected beer are advised to either dispose of it or return it to the store where it was bought. The recall specifically targets 33cl cans bottled on July 24, 2024, with a best-before date of July 24, 2027.

The beer was distributed across various supermarket chains in Denmark, including Meny nationwide, and select Letkøb, Spar, and Mini Marked stores. The company responsible for the beer's production, Flâneur Liquids, initiated the recall. Customers experiencing any related symptoms are urged to consult their doctor or the out-of-hours doctor service.
