Bekasi Opens 100 Scholarship Quotas for Talented Youth in 2026

The Bekasi Regency government in West Java, Indonesia, has officially launched the Banpin (Bantuan Pemuda Pasti Pintar) scholarship program, offering 100 slots for outstanding youth in 2026. This initiative aims to broaden access to higher education for academically and non-academically accomplished students from the region.

Applications for the scholarship will be accepted from July 27 to August 7, 2026, via the official website banpin.bekasikab.go.id. The program provides financial assistance for students pursuing degrees at public or private universities across Indonesia. Acting Bekasi Regent Asep Surya Atmaja encouraged eligible youth to prepare themselves for the opportunity.

"I invite all young men and women of Bekasi Regency who have academic or non-academic achievements to prepare themselves to participate in this smart youth scholarship program," Atmaja said. He emphasized that the program reflects the local government's commitment to fostering the growth and achievements of its young generation, viewing education as a fundamental pillar for building a competitive society and driving regional progress.

The scholarship covers educational costs from the first semester up to the eighth semester, with a maximum ceiling of Rp5 million per semester. If the actual tuition fee (UKT) is lower, the assistance will match the nominal UKT. If it exceeds Rp5 million, the remaining cost will be borne by the student. The program allows recipients the freedom to choose any university that meets the requirements, without specific limitations on campus choice.
