Belgian star Tielemans reportedly set for Manchester United move

Manchester United appears to be on the verge of securing a significant midfield reinforcement with the impending signing of Belgian star Youri Tielemans. Reports indicate that the club has reached an agreement with Aston Villa for the transfer of the 29-year-old midfielder.

Football influencer Fabrizio Romano and The Athletic have reported that the transfer is in its final stages. Tielemans is expected to undergo his medical tests with Manchester United in the coming days, signaling a swift conclusion to the negotiations. This move would see Tielemans leave Aston Villa, where he has a contract until June 2028.

Despite reported interest from other clubs, Tielemans is said to prefer a move to Old Trafford. The transfer is rumored to be facilitated by a release clause in his contract with Villa, reportedly set at 41 million euros, which converts to approximately 460 million Norwegian kroner. Manchester United is also reportedly close to signing Andrey Santos from Chelsea, further bolstering their midfield options.
