Belgrade University Rector Announces New Student Initiative 'Serbia or Mafia?'

Vladan Đokić, rector of the University of Belgrade, has announced a new student initiative titled "Serbia or Mafia?" The campaign, set to begin next week, will involve a series of civic and student events addressing critical issues such as security, the rule of law, and institutional accountability.

Đokić made these remarks during a forum in Vrbas, organized by the Vrbas Municipality Citizens' Assembly. The discussion also covered the current political climate and the student movement. He emphasized that proposed candidates for the student list would collaborate with experts.

The rector further stated that the government has been unsuccessful in undermining public confidence in Serbia's higher education system, despite ongoing challenges. He conveyed a message of resilience and continued trust in academic institutions.
