Benito Juárez Mayor's Office Distributes 1,431 School Kits, Allocating Nearly 2.5 Million Pesos for Families

The Benito Juárez mayor's office has provided 1,431 school kits to assist families as students return to classes. This year's initiative saw an allocation of 2,449,800 pesos, aimed at easing the financial strain on parents and ensuring students have necessary supplies for the upcoming school year.

That is why we work to be close to you and contribute with concrete actions to strengthen family finances and support our students at the beginning of a new school year. Today we deliver much more than a school kit; we deliver a demonstration of our commitment to the families of Benito Juárez and to the future of our children and youth.

Juan Adrián González Bruzzone, the director general of Citizen Participation and Linkage, stated that the return to school brings both excitement and financial pressure. He emphasized the office's commitment to supporting families through concrete actions that strengthen household finances and aid students. "Today we deliver much more than a school kit; we deliver a demonstration of our commitment to the families of Benito Juárez and to the future of our children and youth," he said.

Each kit contains 16 items, including a backpack, notebooks, a geometry set, a calculator, a dictionary, colored pencils, pens, markers, scissors, erasers, a sharpener, glue sticks, and notebook covers. This provision helps families allocate their budgets to other essential items like uniforms and footwear.

I am very happy; we have come for several years and the truth is that we only buy the minimum now. Our children are ready to start classes next Monday. Many families really need this support.

Beneficiaries shared their positive experiences. Verónica Rojas, a resident, noted that the kits significantly reduce the need to purchase supplies, allowing her children to start classes prepared. Pedro Meneses, another parent, highlighted the ease of the process and the significant savings, contrasting the support with that available in other districts.

It helps us a lot with family finances; it's a big saving for our pocket. The truth is it has been very easy; I have a disability, and they helped us so that reception would be faster. Thank you very much to the mayor's office for these projects; my daughter's schoolmates come from other districts, and I don't see them having any support like this.
