Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) Selangor must break free from complacency and actively demonstrate its appeal to voters in diverse, mixed-race communities if it harbors ambitions of winning the state. Datuk Harrison Hassan, the chief of Bersatu's Kuala Selangor division, articulated this sentiment during the Bersatu Selangor Convention.

Hassan acknowledged the party's existing strength in areas predominantly inhabited by Malays. However, he stressed that the true test of Bersatu's political viability hinges on its ability to connect with and gain support from voters in mixed-race constituencies. These areas, he argued, represent the decisive battlegrounds that will shape the party's political trajectory.
