Beşiktaş's Dusan Vlahovic admits transfer 'confession': 'I met with many clubs but...'

New Beşiktaş signing Dusan Vlahovic has disclosed that he considered numerous offers during the summer transfer window but ultimately found none of the presented projects compelling enough. The Serbian striker revealed that a pivotal phone call from Beşiktaş's new coach, Vincenzo Italiano, significantly influenced his decision to join the Istanbul club.

"This summer I received many offers and had discussions with many clubs. But to be honest, I was not satisfied with the projects presented anywhere," Vlahovic stated. He explained that while en route to Istanbul, the coach called him, saying, "I have signed with Beşiktaş. If you want, you can come too." Vlahovic requested time to consider, acknowledging the unpredictable nature of football.

After consulting with his family, Vlahovic concluded that Beşiktaş was the right choice for him at this moment. He highlighted the strong desire of the club's personnel to bring him to Istanbul, making the decision easier. "When I made my decision, I was extremely confident that I had taken the right step," he said.

The striker was deeply impressed by the reception he received at the airport and stadium, expressing his gratitude to the passionate Beşiktaş supporters. "I am grateful to them for the feelings they gave me at the airport and stadium. We have crazy fans. I thank them billions of times," he remarked.

Vlahovic concluded with a message to the fans, acknowledging his purpose for joining the club. "I am aware of why I came here. I will do my best and try to show it on the field.
