Beşiktaş targets Marko Nikolic for head coach role after Luis pursuit fails

Following this setback, Beşiktaş has turned its attention to Marko Nikolic, the Serbian coach who guided AEK to the Greek league championship this season. Reports indicate that the club has submitted an initial offer to Nikolic. However, AEK is also attempting to retain the successful coach by offering him a new contract, and Nikolic is currently evaluating his options.

Nikolic had a notable first season with AEK, leading them to a league title and a quarterfinal appearance in the Europa Conference League. Besides Nikolic, Beşiktaş is also reportedly interested in Braga's coach Carlos Vicens and Kasper Hjulmand, who is expected to leave Bayer Leverkusen. The club's management is anticipated to expedite the decision-making process for its new head coach in the coming days.
