Birgit Skarstein Is Pregnant Again

Birgit Skarstein, one of Norway's most accomplished para-athletes, has announced she is expecting her second child. The 37-year-old shared the joyful news on her Snapchat story, posting a video from an ultrasound examination alongside her fiancé, Christian Semb, and their son.

"Something else this time with a little one from before!" she wrote on a picture, referencing their first child, son Christer, who was born in August of the previous year. Skarstein previously spoke about embracing motherhood after a career dedicated to elite sports, telling VG after Christer's birth, "I have gone from a top sports bubble to a parent bubble. It is fantastic. I love it."

Skarstein boasts an impressive list of achievements, including a Paralympic gold medal and six World Championship golds in rowing. She has also secured a total of twelve World Championship medals across both rowing and cross-country skiing.
