Bishkek authorities uncover illegal tree felling on Zhukeyev-Pudovkin Street

The Ministry of Natural Resources in Bishkek has confirmed an illegal tree felling incident on Zhukeyev-Pudovkin Street, acting on information initially spread through social media.

Following an inspection, specialists verified the unlawful removal of green spaces. As a result, the municipal enterprise "Bishkekzelkhoz" faces an administrative protocol and a fine of 17,000 Kyrgyz soms. The ministry emphasized that appropriate measures will be enforced according to current legislation for such violations.

This incident occurred despite previous explanations from the Bishkek mayor's office regarding tree removal along the same street in the 8th microdistrict. At that time, the administration of the Oktyabrsky district stated that the area was designated for the construction of a new public square.

The Ministry of Natural Resources is calling on citizens to remain vigilant and report any instances of illegal tree cutting. They assure the public that all reported violations will be addressed promptly and in accordance with the law.
