Bishkek's Old Square temporarily closed for traffic

Turdakunov Usubaliyev Square, commonly known as Old Square, in Bishkek will have restricted vehicle access from June 5 to June 8. The closure is in effect to accommodate a cultural and mass event scheduled for the area.

During this period, all forms of transportation are forbidden from passing through the square. Additionally, parking on nearby streets will be temporarily prohibited. The press service of the Capital's Patrol Service Administration announced these measures.

Authorities are urging drivers to plan their travel routes through the city center in advance. They should also anticipate potential increases in travel time and consider using alternative routes to circumvent the affected area. Strict adherence to the instructions of police officers and road signs is also requested.

The administration asks for public understanding regarding these temporary inconveniences. The measures are intended to ensure public safety, maintain order, and create a comfortable environment for the event.
