Kyrgyzstan updates kindergarten registration portal

Kyrgyzstan has launched a new digital portal, balalyk.edu.gov.kg, to manage the electronic queue for kindergarten admissions. The system, previously accessible via mektep.edu.gov.kg, has been migrated and integrated into the new platform. The Ministry of Education stated the move aims to centralize all preschool services on one digital hub, simplifying access for parents.

The change is aimed at consolidating services in the field of preschool education on a single digital platform and simplifying parents' access to public services.

Parents can now register their children, join the waiting list, track their position, and access other related services exclusively through balalyk.edu.gov.kg. The ministry assured that all existing applications and queue data from the old portal have been seamlessly transferred and remain unchanged. This ensures that children already on the waiting list maintain their status without interruption.

All applications and queue data previously registered on the mektep.edu.gov.kg portal have been fully preserved and automatically transferred to the new platform.

The "Electronic Queue" system is designed to bring transparency to the admission process for preschools. It automatically generates queues, assigns available spots, and minimizes human intervention, thereby reducing corruption risks. The system also promotes equal opportunities for all children seeking admission. Parents can utilize the new web portal or the "Tunduk" mobile application to register their children.
