Bishkek to host 12 fan zones for World Nomad Games opening ceremony

Bishkek is preparing to host 12 fan zones for the opening ceremony of the VI World Nomad Games on August 31. The main viewing area will be situated at Ala-Too Square, the city's central plaza, providing a focal point for spectators.

In addition to the primary location, 11 other fan zones will be established throughout Bishkek's four administrative districts. These fan zones are intended to offer accessible viewing points for residents and visitors alike. They will broadcast live coverage of the Games' opening ceremony and key events from the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit.

The fan zones will offer more than just live broadcasts. Preparations include organizing concerts, setting up photo zones, establishing food courts, and creating relaxation areas. The city authorities are also arranging spaces dedicated to national games, aiming to enhance the festive atmosphere and cultural immersion for attendees.

The VI World Nomad Games are scheduled to take place in Kyrgyzstan from August 31 to September 6, 2026. While the opening ceremony is set for Bishkek Arena stadium in the capital, the main competitions will be held in the Issyk-Kul region. The SCO summit in Bishkek is planned for August 31 and September 1.
