Bishkek to Introduce New Designated Dog Walking Areas

The capital city of Bishkek is set to introduce new dedicated spaces for dog owners to walk their pets. This initiative aims to provide organized areas for canine exercise within the urban environment. According to a participant in an animal owners' community, Ramiz Aliyev, the deputy mayor of Bishkek, confirmed plans for these new facilities. Aliyev reportedly mentioned that a section of Erkindik Boulevard will be allocated for dog walking during its reconstruction, which is scheduled to begin in November. In addition to Erkindik Boulevard, the city is considering similar dog walking areas in Togolok Moldo Square and on Molodaya Gvardiya Boulevard. City officials are also seeking public input on the design of these spaces, including how they should be divided and the number of entrances and exits required. Residents have suggested an additional location near the existing dog park between Bokonbaeva and Moskovskaya streets. The Bishkek mayor's office has not yet officially commented on the plans.
