Blackpink's Jennie releasing new solo EP on Aug 28

Jennie, a prominent member of the global K-pop sensation Blackpink, is set to release her new solo digital EP, Fallen Angel, on August 28. The 30-year-old artist announced the upcoming project through her company, Odd Atelier, describing it as "A gift from JENNIE, with love." The EP will include three tracks: the title track "Fallen Angel," "Heaven," and "Less Than A Lover." A music video for the title track is scheduled to be released on the same day as the EP.

This solo venture by Jennie comes several months after Blackpink's collective release of their mini-album, Deadline, in February. The world tour supporting that album concluded on January 26 in Hong Kong. Since the release of their 2022 album Born Pink, the quartet, comprising Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rosé, has been focusing on individual careers.

Other members have also been active with their solo endeavors. Rosé released her album Rosie, which included the track "Apt." Lisa launched her full-length project Alter Ego and made her acting debut in HBO's "The White Lotus." Jennie herself debuted her solo work last year with "Ruby," while Jisoo released her EP "Amortage," further showcasing their individual artistic expressions.
