BLACKPINK to attend 10th-anniversary fan event as a full group

K-pop superstars BLACKPINK will fulfill their promise to fans by attending a 10th-anniversary "Meet & Greet" event in Seoul on August 8th. Despite the members now operating under individual labels, all four – Jennie, Rosé, Jisoo, and Lisa – have coordinated their schedules to be present for the special occasion.

Speculation had arisen among fans, known as "BLINKs," that a full group appearance might not happen, especially after some members were recently spotted in the United States. Concerns were amplified by the limited scale of the fan event, which is set to host only 40 attendees, and the lack of other major anniversary celebrations beyond a collaboration with the National Museum of Korea's merchandise brand, MUDOS.

Since their debut on August 8, 2016, with "Boombayah" and "Whistle," BLACKPINK has redefined the K-pop girl group landscape. Their 2022 album "Born Pink" made history by simultaneously topping both the U.S. Billboard 200 and the UK Official Albums Chart. They are the only K-pop group to achieve this feat, and the first female group to top the Billboard 200 in 14 years and 5 months since Danity Kane in 2008. Their global impact was further cemented by headlining the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in 2023, a first for a K-pop act, and performing at London's Wembley Stadium.
