BN backs Anwar until end of term, but seeks state power in Negeri Sembilan

Barisan Nasional (BN) has pledged its continued support for the federal government led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, vowing to back his administration until the completion of its term. The coalition's commitment was articulated by BN Chairman Ahmad Zahid Hamidi during a statement made in Kuala Pilah.

Despite offering support at the federal level, BN is simultaneously campaigning for a change in leadership in the state of Negeri Sembilan. Hamidi urged voters in the state to grant BN the mandate to take over the state administration in the upcoming Negeri Sembilan state elections, scheduled for August 1.

This dual approach highlights BN's strategy of maintaining federal stability while seeking to regain control of state governments. The party aims to leverage its federal support to its advantage in state-level contests, positioning itself as a viable alternative for governance.

However, at the same time, voters in Negeri Sembilan are urged to give BN the mandate to take over the state administration in the State Election (PRN) on August 1.
