BN manifesto not a copy-paste, says chairman

Barisan Nasional (BN) Chairman Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has refuted claims that the coalition's manifesto for the Negeri Sembilan state election is a mere copy-paste of Pakatan Harapan's (PH) platform. Hamidi asserted that BN's manifesto was developed through modifications of existing documents, emphasizing a desire for continuity in agenda.

"We do not want to be accused of copy-pasting what they did in Johor," Hamidi stated, clarifying that BN's approach involves building upon previous agendas that were interrupted when the coalition lacked sufficient seats to form a government in 2018. He believes that Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan, as the BN Chairman for Negeri Sembilan, is well-positioned to continue this agenda effectively, especially with the support of BN's component parties in the state.

Speaking at an event in Lukut, Hamidi also expressed his confidence in the two MIC candidates contesting in the Negeri Sembilan polls. He recalled their success in the Johor state elections and indicated his desire for them to be appointed to the State Executive Council if BN secures a mandate from the people to govern Negeri Sembilan. The two MIC candidates are Datuk R. Thinalan for Seremban Jaya and A. Achutan for Sri Tanjung.
