BN Johor denies fake candidate list circulating online

Barisan Nasional (BN) Johor has vehemently denied a viral list circulating online that purports to name the coalition's candidates for the upcoming state election. The party's chairman, Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, declared the list to be false, untrue, and deliberately created by irresponsible individuals aiming to sow confusion.

Ghazi stated that any official announcements regarding BN candidates will exclusively be released through the party's official communication channels. He acknowledged that as election season heats up, the spread of slander, rumors, provocations, and fake news is expected. Therefore, he urged the public to meticulously verify all information before believing it.

"We urge all Johoreans to practice tabayyun (verification), check facts first, and obtain information from official sources before accepting or spreading any news," Ghazi said in a statement. He emphasized the importance of caution in receiving information to prevent undesirable outcomes. He also called for mature, ethical, and responsible political conduct to ensure Johor's stability, harmony, and democratic process are not undermined by false propaganda.
