BN Rejects Empty Promises to Win Votes

Barisan Nasional (BN) in Negeri Sembilan is adopting a strategy of delivering on its promises, eschewing unrealistic pledges often found in election manifestos. Datuk Seri Jalaluddin Alias, chairman of the Negeri Sembilan UMNO Liaison Body, stated that BN's approach is to make commitments that can be fulfilled, ensuring that what is offered to the people is actionable.

"We do not use the method of empty promises by presenting unrealistic manifestos or manifestos that are only made to gain votes," Jalaluddin told Utusan Malaysia. He emphasized that BN's practice is to "promise to fulfill," not just to please the ears of listeners. The coalition aims to ensure that its pledges are translated into reality.

Furthermore, BN is actively rejecting campaign tactics that could harm societal harmony. This includes avoiding the use of racial issues, inciting hatred, or creating divisions among the populace. Jalaluddin asserted that BN does not engage in insults, does not seek to divide people, and does not sow hatred. He also condemned bribery as a practice that disrespects the people.

In a related development, Jalaluddin highlighted the smooth cooperation between BN and Perikatan Nasional (PN) in the Negeri Sembilan state election. He noted that campaign machinery from both parties has been coordinated to ensure their collaboration is evident on election day. Supporters and members from PN, particularly Pas, are actively campaigning alongside BN's machinery in constituencies like Pertang. Similarly, in Klawang, UMNO and BN members are uniting to support PN candidates. This integrated approach is being implemented across all constituencies where both parties are involved, working as a unified team to achieve their electoral goals.
