BN to campaign as underdog in Negeri Sembilan election

Barisan Nasional (BN) is strategically positioning itself as the underdog in the upcoming Negeri Sembilan state election, a move aimed at galvanizing its campaign machinery and preventing complacency. BN chairman Ahmad Zahid Hamidi emphasized that this "underdog" status is vital, especially since the state government is currently led by a rival coalition, even though BN is part of the federal government.

BN intends to actively engage with voters throughout the remaining campaign period, urging the people of Negeri Sembilan to grant the coalition an opportunity to govern the state once more. Regarding the potential Menteri Besar candidate, Hamidi revealed that BN has identified 10 qualified individuals. The final selection will only be made after the party secures a public mandate.

Separately, Hamidi commented on a proposal suggesting Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin, president of Parti Wawasan Negara (Wasasan), as a candidate for Prime Minister, calling it a "good story" and expressing hope for its realization.
