BNI Deputy Director Alexandra Askandar Recalls Early Nerves During Shooting Practice

Alexandra Askandar, the Senior Deputy President Director of BNI, has revealed a lesser-known aspect of her life: her long-standing engagement with shooting sports. While often sharing her passion for golf, running, and cycling on Instagram, Askandar also finds time for the shooting range.

In a recent Instagram post during Ramadan, she described her experience at a shooting range as a unique way to spend time before sunset prayers. Askandar wrote about the need for focus, self-control, and the thrill of adrenaline, admitting that she found the activity surprisingly enjoyable. She noted it was a different experience from her usual routine.

Reflecting on her past, Askandar, who is of Batak descent, recalled her first experiences with shooting. "I used to get nervous every time I heard a gunshot, until I finally got used to it," she stated. This initial apprehension has long since faded, and she now eagerly anticipates invitations to practice.
