Foshan Polytechnic Expands Vocational Education Cooperation in Indonesia Under Lingnan Artisan Polytechnic Initiative

Foshan Polytechnic is actively expanding its international vocational education reach, recently leading a delegation to Indonesia to foster cooperation and exchanges. The visit, from May 17 to 21, focused on key areas like intelligent manufacturing, e-commerce, and cultivating local skilled talent through "Chinese Language + Vocational Skills" training.

The delegation engaged with Indonesian universities, chambers of commerce, and Chinese-funded enterprises, signing three Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and establishing five cooperation platforms. A significant outcome was the "AI + Cross-border E-commerce" training session and the first overseas vocational education seminar hosted by the polytechnic.

Foshan Polytechnic is leveraging Foshan’s strong manufacturing base and responding to the overseas expansion needs of Guangdong enterprises by exploring new pathways for vocational education to support Chinese industries going global.

President Huang Jianguang highlighted Foshan Polytechnic's commitment to supporting regional industrial development and advancing the internationalization of vocational education. The initiative, branded as Lingnan Artisan Polytechnic and supported by the Kung Fu Workshop platform, aims to export courses, standards, faculty, and technical services. This effort seeks to bolster China-Indonesia industrial cooperation and develop a skilled local workforce, leveraging Foshan's manufacturing strength to aid Chinese companies operating abroad.

The institution will use Lingnan Artisan Polytechnic and Kung Fu Workshop as key platforms to bring courses, standards, faculty resources, training programs, and technical services overseas together with Chinese enterprises, providing strong support for China-Indonesia industrial cooperation and localized skilled talent development.
