Bogor DPRD Chairman Encourages Stronger Leadership for Female Entrepreneurs

The Chairman of the Bogor City Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD), Adityawarman Adil, urged for the enhancement of leadership among female entrepreneurs during a recent event hosted by the Indonesian Women Entrepreneurs Association (IWAPI) in Bogor City. The gathering aimed to strengthen the leadership character of women entrepreneurs and promote their role in regional economic development. Adityawarman highlighted women's inherent ability to manage multiple roles, both within the family and in business, as a crucial foundation for effective leadership. "A female entrepreneur has many tasks, is very multitasking. On one hand, she must perform duties at home managing the family, on the other hand, she is busy managing the community. If both home and outside can be managed well, that is extraordinary," he stated. He stressed that true leadership is not solely measured by profit but by the sincerity of providing benefits to others, identifying social care as a distinguishing trait. "I am happy with the IWAPI ladies because there is sincerity, not just seeking profit. Wanting to take care of others and the community, in my opinion, is special. That is what differentiates a leader from a non-leader," Adityawarman remarked. Drawing from his experience in the DPRD, he encouraged IWAPI Bogor to act as a strategic partner in bolstering micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and fostering regional economic growth, including job creation. Dhany Rose, Chair of DPC IWAPI Kota Bogor, added that the event equipped members with leadership insights, emphasizing the importance of understanding organizational bylaws and developing inner leadership qualities for the association's approximately 150 members. Participants also received training on leveraging social media and digitalization for business development, aiming to enhance member capacity and foster collaboration for economic growth.
