Bogor Volleyball Association Hails BSI Flash as a Pathway to the Proliga

Bogor’s branch of the Indonesian Volleyball Federation has welcomed BSI Flash as more than a school tournament. The competition, for high-school students and their equivalents, is being presented as a route for young players toward national volleyball and potentially the Proliga.

The fifth BSI Flash runs from September 3 to 9, 2026, at the sports center of Bina Sarana Informatika University’s Cilebut campus. Theo George Gill, chair of the Bogor branch, said schools from Bogor city and regency had responded with strong enthusiasm.

My first impression is seeing enormous enthusiasm. The high participation proves that volleyball is very popular among people in Bogor city and regency.

Gill credited the tournament’s facilities and professional management for allowing students to compete at their best. He also highlighted its connection with the National Achievement Center, saying the resulting portfolio could support players’ education and future careers. In his view, it could help them compete for West Java, Indonesia’s national team or even at international level.

Social-media coverage and exposure during the tournament could give participants another opening by putting their abilities in front of professional clubs, including Proliga teams. The Bogor volleyball association hopes BSI Flash will continue as a benchmark for student sports competitions. Gill urged the young athletes to train hard, never give up and produce their best performances in every match.
