Bold Fox Terrifies Resident; Pets Suspected Missing Due to Its Presence

A bold fox has become a cause for alarm in Eglė's neighborhood, as residents suspect it may be responsible for the disappearance of local pets. The fox, described as fearless and frequently seen in the vicinity, has heightened concerns among pet owners.

Over the past few years, several pets have vanished without a trace from Eglė's yard. The recurring presence of the unafraid fox has led to speculation that it might be preying on domestic animals. This year, Eglė has experienced particular distress due to the unexplained disappearances of her own pets.

Linas Balčiauskas, a biologist and ecologist at the Nature Research Center, addressed the situation, explaining the reasons behind foxes venturing into human-populated areas. He also provided advice on how to prevent foxes from crossing boundaries and posing a threat to pets. Balčiauskas elaborated on why such occurrences might happen and offered guidance on protective measures against foxes living nearby.
