Bolívar wins in Oruro, pressures Always Ready

Bolívar secured a crucial 4-2 victory over Real Oruro at the Jesús Bermúdez stadium, keeping their title aspirations alive. The win propelled the team to 33 points, placing them just one point behind league leaders Always Ready, who have yet to play their match for this round and also possess a game in hand.

From the outset, Bolívar, under coach Alejandro Restrepo, dominated the game. Tonino Melgar opened the scoring in the 17th minute with a powerful shot into the top corner. Five minutes later, José Sagredo's precise cross found Dorny Romero, who doubled the lead with a header. Bolívar's superiority was evident, with Real Oruro struggling to contain their attacks. A near third goal before halftime was denied by a strong save from Real Oruro's goalkeeper, Alex Arancibia.

The second half saw Bolívar extend their lead in the 63rd minute through John Velásquez's skillful individual effort. However, Real Oruro mounted a comeback. Yerko Vallejos converted a penalty in the 68th minute, bringing the score to 3-1. He then scored again in the closing stages, capitalizing on a rebound to make it 3-2 and inject drama into the final minutes.

Despite Real Oruro's surge, Bolívar sealed the victory. Edwin Saavedra was put through on goal and calmly finished to make it 4-2, ensuring Bolívar claimed the three vital points.
