Bolivia U-20 women's team prepares for friendlies against Brazil

Bolivia's U-20 women's national football team, known as La Verde, has commenced a new training camp under the guidance of Óscar Villegas and Gabriel Ramírez. The team is focusing on intensive preparation for upcoming international competitions, with a key part of their strategy involving two friendly matches against Brazil in Rio de Janeiro.

These upcoming friendlies are crucial for the team's development as they gear up for the CONMEBOL U-20 Women's Championship qualifiers. This tournament serves as the pathway for qualification to the 2027 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup. The Bolivian Football Federation has called up 31 players for this training cycle, which runs from July 30 to August 13.

Among the notable call-ups is goalkeeper Ivo Vienovich, who plays for Atlético Tucumán's youth division in Argentina, offering him a chance to represent his country. The squad also features several players who are already making an impact in their senior club teams and are considered future prospects for Bolivian football. These include Gerónimo Govea, Fernando Mena, Escleizon Freita, Jesús Maraude, Nabil Nacif, Leonardo Viviani, and Kevin Chacón. These players may be released to their clubs if needed for official matches, given the nature of the training camp.
