Bollywood singer Shaan to perform in Kathmandu

Kathmandu is set to host renowned Indian playback singer Shaan for a live performance this Saturday, August 22, 2026. The event, dubbed ‘Shaan Live in Nepal,’ is being brought to the capital by Nepali Touch and will take place at Club Nova.

Shaan arrived in Kathmandu on Friday, August 21, and is scheduled to depart on Sunday, August 23, following his concert. The venue gates will open at 7 pm, with the show commencing shortly thereafter. Audiences can anticipate an extensive performance, with Saugat Regmi, owner of Nepali Touch, stating that Shaan will sing more than 40 songs in a nearly non-stop show lasting two to two-and-a-half hours.

Regmi highlighted Shaan's reputation for warmth and engaging stage presence, which he believes resonates well with local audiences. "He is a generous person, and he’s easily communicative on stage," Regmi said, adding that Shaan plans to open the concert with a Nepali song.

For Nepali fans, the concert holds a special layer of nostalgia. Shaan, who rose to prominence in the 1990s, is celebrated for his many hits across three decades of playback singing in Bollywood. His well-known songs include 'Chand Sifarish' (Fanaa), 'Jab Se Tere Naina' (Saawariya), 'Hey Shona' (Ta Ra Rum Pum), and 'Suno Na'.
