Bolojan explains what he will do if PSD ministers leave the Government: 'The President has not asked me to resign. I will ensure governance.'

Speaking on B1 Sunday evening, Bolojan made it unequivocally clear: "I will not resign." He further clarified that President Nicușor Dan has not requested his resignation, despite discussions about the unfolding political situation. The Prime Minister stressed his responsibility to keep the government functioning, particularly given the critical challenges Romania faces, including the crucial deadline for absorbing European funds through the PNRR by August. Bolojan argued that political instability could jeopardize these vital funds, leading to significant financial losses for the country. He explained that if PSD ministers do indeed leave, other cabinet members will assume the vacant portfolios. The Prime Minister's stance reflects a commitment to stability and governance amidst political uncertainty. He indicated that discussions with President Dan have involved presenting each other's perspectives, and further dialogue is expected regarding the potential crisis.
