Border Police rescue Israeli citizen after accidental entry into Area A near Ramallah

Border Police officers successfully rescued an Israeli citizen from Holon who had inadvertently entered Area A of the West Bank near Ramallah after becoming lost. The Israeli Police confirmed the incident, stating that officers located the individual's vehicle and escorted them from the prohibited zone.

Entry into Area A, an area under the full civil and security control of the Palestinian Authority, is strictly prohibited for Israeli citizens and is considered life-threatening. This rescue occurred shortly after separate incidents where Israeli Jews were rescued by the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) after entering Area A near Bethlehem, Jericho, and Ramallah.

In one of these separate cases, an Israeli man was found near Ein Arik, armed, and was rescued through coordination channels. Another Israeli Jewish woman was found walking through Jericho, and an initial investigation suggested she entered intentionally. A third Israeli man, appearing to be suffering from mental distress, was found wandering in Bethlehem and was handed over by local residents to security forces. All three individuals were transferred to police for further handling, with authorities reiterating the dangers of entering Area A.
