Born to Beat the Odds

Matthew Hyatt was not expected to survive after entering the world weighing just one and a half pounds. He spent three months in pediatric intensive care at the University Hospital of the West Indies.

Thirty-three years have now passed since his premature birth. The experiences between then and now, along with the hard lessons he has learned, appear to have prepared him for the hurdles he would face.

Those experiences also led Hyatt to make a decision: to look at life differently.
