Bosnia and Herzegovina reveal candidate list for World Cup qualifiers; NBA tower absent

The Bosnian and Herzegovinian national basketball team has unveiled its list of candidates for the upcoming FIBA World Cup qualifiers in August. The team faces a crucial stage in the tournament, with matches scheduled against Italy and Lithuania.

However, Bosnia and Herzegovina will be without two of their prominent leaders, Džanan Musa and Emir Sulejmanović. Both players are currently undergoing rehabilitation following injuries and will not be available for the August qualifying window. The team's preparation camp is set to begin on August 12th, including control matches against Poland and Tuzla 'Bosna BH Telecom'.

Meanwhile, the Lithuanian national basketball association has also presented its candidate list for the upcoming games. Notably, Jonas Valančiūnas, along with NBA prospects Matas Buzelis and Kasparas Jakučionis, will not be participating in the August matches. Lithuania is in Group J of the second qualifying round, alongside Turkey, Italy, Serbia, Iceland, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. They require at least four victories in their remaining six games to secure a spot in the World Cup.
