BPJS Kesehatan Appoints Raffi Ahmad as Honorary Ambassador to Boost Mutual Cooperation

In a move to invigorate the national health insurance program, BPJS Kesehatan has appointed popular Indonesian celebrity Raffi Ahmad as its first Honorary Ambassador. This initiative aims to harness the power of 'gotong royong,' a core Indonesian value of mutual cooperation, to ensure the long-term sustainability of the Jaminan Kesehatan Nasional (JKN) program. The appointment is strategically designed to bolster contribution collection and strengthen the program's financial foundation.

In the JKN program, we base the collection of its contributions with the spirit of gotong royong. Therefore, in our structural and cultural transformation, we prioritize the process of strengthening the corporate identity of the body by enhancing these symbols of gotong royong.

BPJS Kesehatan Director-General Prihati Pujowaskito stated that the JKN program relies heavily on the spirit of gotong royong for its funding. With a current participant base of 284 million, of which 79% are active, the organization still faces the challenge of achieving 100% active participation. Pujowaskito believes that Raffi Ahmad, with his widespread influence, particularly among the younger generation, is the ideal figure to promote this spirit and encourage greater engagement with the program.
