BPK Member Denies Introducing Businessman to Customs Official in Bribery Case

The trial over bribery involving imported goods at the Directorate-General of Customs has brought to light the involvement of numerous figures, including Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) Member I Nyoman Adhi Suryadnyana. The name of Suryadnyana, a member of the BPK, emerged during the trial of former Director of Enforcement and Investigation at the Directorate-General of Customs, Rizal Fadillah, at the Jakarta Corruption Court. Blueray Cargo owner John Field mentioned Suryadnyana's name during court proceedings and in questioning by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

Suryadnyana, 55, met with Tempo reporters in his office on Friday, July 31, 2026, after returning from an out-of-town assignment. He addressed the allegations that he introduced John Field to Rizal Fadillah. "I read in the media that Rizal got John’s phone number from me. I do know John Field. But it’s not true that I introduced him to Rizal. I also never arranged a meeting between them," Suryadnyana stated.
