BPKH Distributes Aid to Seven Disaster-Affected Districts in NTT

The Haji Financial Management Agency (BPKH) has initiated a humanitarian aid distribution to support communities in Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) that have been impacted by recent disasters. This initiative, part of the Disaster Response Program, aims to provide critical relief and essential supplies to those affected.

BPKH is channeling aid through the "value of benefit" derived from the People's Endowed Fund (DAU). This fund is designated to generate benefits for communities across Indonesia, with disaster response being a key area of focus. The agency emphasizes its commitment to fulfilling its mandate of providing societal benefits through such programs.

"Through the value of benefit from the People's Endowed Fund (DAU), BPKH carries out its mandate to provide benefits for the community throughout Indonesia. One of them is through the Disaster Response Program, as a form of care and an effort to help affected communities recover together," stated Fadlul Imansyah, Head of the BPKH Executive Board.

The distribution, which began on August 26, 2026, involves three partner organizations: PPPA Daarul Quran, DT Peduli, and Rumah Zakat. These partners are crucial in delivering aid to specific districts, including Ngada, Manggarai Timur, Sikka, Manggarai, Manggarai Barat, and Nagekeo. The aid package includes food, clean water, hygiene kits, shelter materials, health services, and provisions like abon and canned rendang.

BPKH acknowledges the importance of coordination and collaboration in disaster management. By partnering with organizations that have established networks and operational capacity in the affected regions, BPKH ensures that the aid is distributed effectively and tailored to the specific needs of each area. The agency hopes this support will alleviate the burden on the affected communities and aid in their recovery process.
