Brazil's Guto Miguel reaches ATP Kingston Challenge semifinals

Seventeen-year-old Guto Miguel of Brazil has advanced to the semifinals of the ATP Kingston Lawn Tennis Challenge, showcasing promising talent on the international stage. Miguel secured his spot by defeating the higher-ranked American Andrew Fenty, who is 26 years old and ranked 385 in the world, with a score of 7-5, 7-5.

The match, held at the Liguanea Club, was a hard-fought contest lasting two hours and four minutes. Miguel, currently ranked 850 globally, demonstrated resilience against Fenty, who has previously reached a career-high ranking of 227. Miguel's performance included four aces, and he won 71 percent of his first serves, highlighting his competitive edge in a very close encounter.

Miguel was not the only player to advance to the final four. He was joined by Andy Andrade of Venezuela, Rodrigo Mendez of Mexico, and Aidan Mayo of the United States. Andrade, the number two seed, had a more comfortable win, defeating Max Purcell of Australia 6-3, 6-3 in just over an hour. Mendez advanced by beating Miguel Tobon of Colombia 6-2, 6-4, while Mayo won the all-American quarterfinal against Andres Martin 6-4, 6-4.
