Brazilian awards recognize reporting on aging and quality of life

Journalists in Brazil have until September 25 to submit their entries for the 2026 Longevity Bradesco Seguros Awards, which honor reporting on aging and quality of life. The competition is open to journalistic pieces published between March 15, 2025, and September 15, 2026, across various Brazilian media platforms, including newspapers, magazines, television, radio, and digital outlets.

The awards aim to encourage the production of content that fosters a broader discussion on the impacts of demographic transformation and helps build a society better prepared for an aging population. Since its inception in 2011, the initiative has sought to highlight the importance of addressing the challenges and opportunities associated with an increasing elderly demographic.

Entries will be evaluated based on editorial quality, the relevance of their approach, contextualization, diversity of sources, and the use of data and research. The winners will be presented with R$10,000, while the second-place recipients will receive R$5,000, along with a trophy and certificate. The award ceremony is scheduled for November 17, coinciding with the 19th Longevity Forum Bradesco Seguros in São Paulo. Submissions are free and can be made through a form available online.
