Breitling and STARLUX Airlines unveil new limited-edition watch at 30,000 feet

Breitling and STARLUX Airlines have joined forces for a second collaboration, unveiling a new limited-edition timepiece at an altitude of 30,000 feet. The Navitimer B02 Chronograph 41 Cosmonaute STARLUX Airline Edition was revealed on August 24 aboard STARLUX flight JX802 from Taipei to Tokyo, with STARLUX Chairman Chang Kuo-wei personally piloting the plane.

This partnership builds on the success of their first collaboration in 2024, which saw the launch of three watches in Taipei. This time, the event's elevation signifies an upgrade in both the product and the presentation. Georges Kern, CEO of House of Brands, expressed his honor in continuing the partnership, noting the positive market reception of the initial collection. STARLUX CEO Zhai Jianhua emphasized the shared values of precision, professionalism, and rigor between the watchmaking and aviation industries, anticipating that the collaboration will enhance the experience for business travelers.

The new watch boasts a 41mm 18K red gold case paired with a brown alligator leather strap. Its silver dial is crafted from natural meteorite, featuring unique Widmanstätten crystalline patterns formed over billions of years, echoing STARLUX's celestial theme. The minute track is in STARLUX's signature "earth gold," with "obsidian gray" used for sub-dial markers and numerals. The transparent sapphire crystal case back is adorned with the STARLUX logo and engraved with the brand slogan "Luxury Beyond Horizons" and the limited edition number.

Equipped with a bidirectional rotating bezel and a circular slide rule for flight calculations, the watch houses Breitling's in-house manual-winding B02 chronograph movement. This movement offers approximately 70 hours of power reserve and is COSC-certified. Limited to just 62 pieces for Taiwan, each watch is individually numbered. Purchasers at the Breitling Taipei 101 boutique will also receive 70,000 STARLUX COSMILE miles, further connecting the watch collection with the flying experience.
