Bremen neighborhood dispute escalates; man allegedly hits child, throws ashtray

A heated neighborhood dispute in Bremen on Thursday evening reportedly escalated to violence, involving a man accused of striking a child and subsequently throwing an ashtray.

The incident began with a verbal argument between a 32-year-old man and a group of children and teenagers. Police stated that the situation intensified when the father of one of the children approached. The man then allegedly retreated to his home and threw an ashtray at the father.

As the conflict continued, more family members joined, with up to 80 people involved at its peak. Police officers were dispatched to the scene to separate the feuding groups. They issued dispersal orders and took several individuals into temporary custody.

Authorities have initiated investigations, including charges for dangerous bodily harm. The police are working to determine the full sequence of events and the extent of any injuries sustained during the prolonged dispute.
