Bremer's goal gives Juventus first win over Frosinone

Juventus kicked off their Serie A 2026/27 campaign with a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Frosinone at the Stadio Benito Stripe. The decisive goal came from Brazilian defender Gleison Bremer in the first half, securing all three points for "The Old Lady."

The win propelled Juventus to fourth place in the early league standings with three points. Conversely, Frosinone remains at the bottom of the table, occupying 16th place without any points. The match saw high intensity from the outset, with Juventus dominating possession and initiating early attacks.

Bremer himself had an early chance in the 16th minute, but his header missed the target. Teammate Kolo Muani also saw a volley go wide. However, Juventus's persistent pressure paid off in the 22nd minute when Bremer met a precise cross from Sergio Conceicao with a powerful header, finding the back of the net.

Frosinone attempted to respond, and Gabriele Bracaglia tested Juventus goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario with a long-range shot before halftime. Vicario was also called into action to deny further opportunities from Kalulu and Yildiz, ensuring Juventus maintained their 1-0 lead into the break.

In the second half, Frosinone increased their attacking efforts, with Seydou Fini forcing another save from Vicario. As the game progressed, the tempo slowed, with Juventus focusing on controlling the rhythm to preserve their lead. Juventus faced a late scare in injury time when Vicario sustained an injury and was replaced by Mattia Perin. Despite the late change, Juventus held on to secure the crucial opening-day win.
