Brutal execution in Širvintos district: Accused claims he wasn't the killer

A brutal murder has left a family in Lithuania's Širvintos district without answers, desperately seeking to understand why their relative was killed so savagely. The victim's sister, struggling to contain her tears, expressed the family's enduring confusion: "We never understood why or for what reason he was killed so brutally."

The man accused of the crime, Paulius Savanevičius, has not provided explanations for the incident. He maintains his innocence, asserting that he did not commit the severe offense. Savanevičius has voiced strong criticism of the authorities, claiming they have unfairly placed the blame on him.
