BTPN Syariah Wins Excellence Award for Islamic Banking Literacy and Inclusion

PT Bank BTPN Syariah Tbk has been honored with the Excellence in Islamic Banking Literacy and Inclusion Award at the Anugerah Syariah Republika (ASR) 2026. The award ceremony, held in Jakarta, recognized the bank's significant contributions to broadening the reach of Islamic banking principles in Indonesia.

The ASR 2026, under the theme 'Sharia for All: Beyond Profit, Toward Purpose,' emphasized the dual role of Islamic economics in fostering societal benefit and driving business expansion. Judges noted BTPN Syariah's exceptional commitment to financial inclusion, particularly for women in less prosperous communities. The bank's strategy integrates financing with ongoing support, education, and capacity building, transforming financial services into tools for enhanced family welfare and economic independence.

Andi Muhyiddin, Editor-in-Chief of Republika, stated that the award celebrates entities demonstrating the tangible benefits of Islamic economics for society and the national economy. He highlighted that ASR aims to recognize institutions and individuals for outstanding performance, innovation, and contributions to the Indonesian Islamic economy ecosystem.

The judging process involved an independent panel from Karim Consulting Indonesia, and a Reader's Choice category garnered over 27,000 votes. Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak, praised Republika's role in nurturing the Islamic economy and expressed hope for continued growth.
