Budrys: Stronger consequences of Middle East conflict to be felt

The ongoing conflict in the Middle East is creating significant global repercussions, affecting political stability, security, and economic conditions worldwide. "The overall impact on global stability – whether political, security, or economic – is enormous, and it can be seen everywhere: at gas stations, in stores where prices are rising – the consequences of this phenomenon are visible everywhere," stated a minister during a discussion about the presentation of the "Arch Frontline" center.

He further warned that these effects will intensify in the latter half of the year, particularly for farmers who will face sharply increased fertilizer prices. This suggests a looming challenge for agricultural production and food security.

Meanwhile, Kurt Volker, the former US Special Representative to Ukraine, commented on the situation concerning Iran. He argued that failing to remove the Iranian regime presents a problem for both the United States and the rest of the world. Volker suggested that while the US initiated military operations against Iran, they may not have been adequately prepared for the full commitment required to achieve regime change.
